Hey there my name's Seacat08 and I make content for people online. I make a variety of things like animations, music, art and video game maps and levels. I've been making content for most of my life and I've enjoyed every last second of it. Team Fortress 2 maps
Lonepine mall (Capture the flag)
Lonepine mall is a capture the flag map that takes place in a mall. It was originally started for Microcontest 25 on TF2maps.net (A 24 hour mapping contest). It took me a few months to build with a full artpass with custom assets. This map has gotten good feedback from playtesters and has been recommended by big TF2 YouTubers like Tylermcvicker and Shounic.

Welcome to the Lonepine mall! Now under new ownership this mall is a place to find everything you may need. From guns to
clothes you will surely find it here. Except water we're not allowed to sell that after the "incident". Maps are located around the mall if you need them.
Also sadly the elevator is out of order due to it being jammed so if your legs don't work maybe come back another day. Sorry for this inconvenience
we will make sure to never let someone bring jam onto the elevator again.
Lonepine mall is a CTF map that takes place in a mall. It contains an original layout which includes theaters, food courts, one way doors, lots of glass and shiny things and more stores than you can shake a stick at. All topped with a Smissmas theming!
Your Objective:
Capture the enemies intelligence and bring it back to your base
As well as protecting your own intelligence that the enemies are trying to steal.

Rivolta (2 Control points)
Rivolta is a 2cp map that takes place in Italy. The name is a translation of the word uprise into Italian (according to Google translate). This map was made for the TF2maps TFConnect minor contest #2. It was made in under 2 and a half weeks and features a semi-complete artpass with custom assets. The gameplay of this map was fine and players for the most part could tolerate it. It's just the last point was too brutal for players to attack. Still did well on the contest, just didn't use all of the 2 and a half months affectively due to most of my attention being on Lonepine mall for the first half of this contest.

Rivolta
Rivolta is a 2cp map set in a small Italian town that resides on the side of a hill bordering the coast. This town is well know for being the birth place of the pizza and attracts a lot of tourism because of it. Red team holds a monopoly on the area with the Red inn being the biggest (and only) hotel in the area. Blu team needs to ascend this hillside town to capture the Red inn. To do this they will travel through canals, a warehouse and even other peoples homes.

Cp_Crosstension_rc1
Crosstension is 3 cp map that takes place in the New Mexico desert. It is inspired by the game Half-Life and it's expansions. While the layout played pretty decent the detailing got rushed to release before the may 1st deadline. The map had to be completed in 2 months since my previous map would've missed the deadline by a long shot. A newer version with an improved artpass is being worked on but development is slow due to other projects taking priority
Steam Description

Cp_Crosstension is a 5cp map inspired by the Half-Life 1 deathmatch map "Crossfire" along with other bit's from that game. It has taken me 2 and a half months to make this.
In Crosstension the mercs fight to capture the Grey Rock reasearch labrotorty in the middle of the New Mexico dessert.
During their battle they will capture a radio tower, a sattelite dish, and of course the other teams base.
This map includes custom models from the TF2maps Construction and Frontline packs. As well as some textures from Zeus's texture grab bag.
It also includes textures and models made by me! :)

While I don't really have any major projects in Source 2 I've still messed around in the engine creating little detail scenes. Here are some screenshots!
Half-Life Maps/Mods
Sanitation (Deathmatch)
Made for the TWHL 25th anniversary vanilla dm competition. The results have yet to be published but the people who've played it seem to love it. This map takes place in the "Lambda Hazardous Nuclear Waste Processing Facility" (LHNWPF). Players fight around a nuclear waste canal, a control room, a server room and the administrative offices. The map also has the gimmick where if a player presses the drain canal button in the control room they can cause the canal to clog leading to it flooding half the map, forcing players up on high ground with limited weapons and thin ledges to walk on. This goes on for around 2-3 minutes before the goop clears.
TNSM
Set during the xen invasion. You play as a cop whose been sent to investigate reports of murder in a facility. You find out the xen creatures have killed nearly everyone in the facility. You have the choice to

continue exploring the facility in search of survivors you can help.

Or you can escape and group up with you're coworkers.
Sludge (TWGL)
This mini mod was made for the "The whole goop life" mapping challenge over on The whole Half Life website. It was finished in a couple months. It had very basic detailing because I hit the visleaf limit. I won a 3rd place spot mainly due to the map not having a whole lot of nuclear sludge strewn about everywhere.
Textures
Textures are a huge part of making a map look good so I've been working on my texturing skills. These are some examples of some textures I've made. Now keep in mind I've mainly made textures for TF2 maps and I'm still a rookie at making them.

Detailing your map
The art of making it pretty
TWHL had an article on detailing that gave some tips for amateur mappers to apply to their maps to make them look more lively and professional. This tutorial which was written back before the year 2006 was really out of date and was never updated though. It only gave suggestions without saying anything more than "do this!" and not explaining how or why. Come the end of 2023 I figured it was time to give this page a proper write up on detailing since I knew it was one that I used when I first started to learn level design. So I went through adding new subjects like reference photos and where to find them as well as updating what was already there. Took me a few days to really bang it out but it was worth it since in the end it became a much more fun and insightful read.

Music
The Source
Dead Bread's 2nd album came out June 4th. 06/04/23 It features 30 tracks of Genesis style twangs, cheap vocal synths, and more fake instruments than you can shake a stick at. It took me exactly 1 year to make. It has the best music I've made yet.

Ragemap 2023 - original soundtrack
Ragemap is a yearly mapping collab held for the game Sven co-op where multiple mappers make short little segments of a map for them to all be combined together into an almost minigame collection type of experience. I participated in the 2023 edition of this collab and produced 3 tracks that play during the door defense sequence in my part as well the boss and credits sequences.
My game
Bots
Bots is a top down shooter with an art style inspired by the cartoons of the 90s/00s. In this game you play as a robot who by accident ended up with a human brain powering him. Now you have to escape the facility you were created in. All the while dodging lasers, bombs, and bullets.
