Description

Fortnite is an online first person shooter game released in 2017 developed by Epic games. It's well known for being a pioneer in the Battle Royale genre, and it's latest expansion into rhythm and racing games.

I first started playing Fortnite back in April 2018 when the game was in it's third season. Since then I've been an avid player, keeping up with and making content about the game.

On December, 6th, 2018, Epic games added the Creative mode to the game. It allowed anybody to use basic version of the Unreal engine editor and manipulate props and create logic systems on Fortnite's 1 meter by 1 meter grid islands.

Since then this mode has been constantly updated to feature new content and logic entities. Recently with Epic releasing "Creative 2.0" to coincide with Fortnite moving from Unreal engine 4 to Unreal engine 5.

I've been creating maps for Fortnite since the start of 2019, and lately I've been making a push to make serious maps enjoyable for not just me and my friends, but players all over the world with these maps releasing publicly in the near future.

On this page you can read up and see some early previews of some of these projects I've been working on, as well as the social media content I've made about the game!

Adventure

For the past 4 years I've slowly been building Adventure off and on as a side project. It's a map made within the in-game Fortnite creative editor and it aims to create an expansive open world for players to explore and progress through a short story with side quests and dungeons.

This map started life in 2022 as a very rough set of boxy areas, with most of it's development lifecycle being used to polish the main route and gameplay of the core story beats.

In late 2025 I then proceeded to go back and build up the open world around that primary route, and used the provided models and props to create a more lush and detailed world.

When this map began development it lacked many of the assets currently used to build the map, alongside many of the entities. This map predates proper lighting systems, particles, and high detail props. These were all added to Fortnite creative down the line, and were revamped with every major engine change the game received.

This map is still a rough work in progress as 90% of the first dungeon is complete, with the second sitting at 10%, and the third at 50%. The world itself is mostly complete with it sitting at 80% for layout and is only missing implemented side quests and interactable npc characters.

This map has been a tricky one to put together since it has been all done in the game itself, and is currently nearing the max amount of allotted memory usage. I plan on fitting in the last bit of content and releasing this map publicly for anybody to play.

This map still stands as a fun side project aimed at creating a unique gameplay experience for Fortnite that will provide players a polished and fun creative map experience!

Silent Fort

Silent Fort is an attempt to make an atmospheric Fortnite map where a team of players need to evade a psychotic murderer in a run down mental institution.
It came from a desire to see a polished Fortnite map of this style that can spark tense and exciting moments between friends. The map has a careful balance where players must switch between their weapons and flashlight wisely.
The map is nearly pitch black in many areas without your flashlight, so you need to be strategic of when you use it since using your flashlight means it'll reduce your natural night vision, making it harder to see long distances.
This map is mainly built around the raytrace lighting systems on modern Playstation and Xbox systems, as well as PC.

Detail scenes

A small detail scene I made to test more fine tuning of placing props, as well as lighting and particle systems. Was made ahead of working on the artpass of Adventure, and was done to test what the engine can do.

Social Media

Bancan was started in 2020 by me and my friends as a Tiktok account to advertise our Fortnite clan. It only had four videos posted to it and went unnoticed and ran as an inside joke for years.

In late 2025 I picked up the account again for fun and started posting new comedic content about items and content drops, as well as gameplay clips of me and my friends playing, edited for humorous effect.

My most noteworthy videos are
- The collection of clips of me and my friend joking around after SpongeBob SquarePants was released in the item shop
and
- The custom made creative map recreating the stage and performance Tyler, the Creator had at that year's Grammys
