Description
Half-Life is a monumental first person shooter game released by Valve software in 1998 for PC, and later PlayStation 2. Half-Life puts the player in the shoes of Gordon Freeman, local theoretical physicist at Black Mesa research facility. Once an experiment goes wrong, it's up to him to save the world from aliens.
I fell in love with this game in late 2020, and picked up modding and making my own custom levels for it. Since the moment I started making custom levels, it drove me to fully pursue it as a career.
While my public library of custom Half-Life levels is small, in total I've made an estimated 361 levels in total. Some larger, some smaller.
On this page you'll see a small portion of the most impressive maps I've made in my own opinion. At some point I hope to continue working on the mods and games I started in this engine!

Sanitation
Sanitation is a Deathmatch (DM) map that I developed and submitted to the "TWHL vanilla DM contest" back in January of 2024.
The map was in active development for a month and a half, and it received third place in the contest out of almost twenty entries submitted!
This map is a compact nuclear reactor with a lot of verticality to account for Half-Life's fast paced action. The map features a unique gimmick where the goop in the reactor floods the map at the press of a button, creating an interesting dynamic where players must escape to higher levels to evade certain death.
The map was well liked by players and was densely detailed to what the engine limits would allow. With both detailed geometry, and custom textures.
It is personally one of my favorite projects I've ever worked on, and is still fun to this day!

Detail scenes
This detail scene was made for a school project where I had to create a set for the play "Tick, Tick... BOOM!". This map was built to stand in as a digital diorama, allowing for more creativity in how things were constructed and shown.
In the end I received a 100% on the assignment!

This detail scene was another made for a school project where I had to create a diorama based off of a scene from the play "The Crucible"
For this I chose to create john Procter's cell from the last act of the play.
After only 3 hours of work I received a 100% on the assignment!

This detail scene was yet another made for a school project, this time I chose to recreate a scene from the book, The Shining. I made a digital diorama of the interior of the Overlook hotel.
This map was made to showcase many details closely matching iconography mentioned in the book.
In the end I also received a 100% on the assignment!

This map was made to test a trippy space-like environment for a future map. It features an odd machine in the middle of an incomprehensible space void.
